Since the club was established in 1990, the goal of the Patuxent River RFC has been
to promote the sport of rugby and provide a fun and safe field of competition for
all interested athletes. This is a senior men’s club (D-III) with competitive membership
within the Potomac Rugby Union. Please contact an officer for additional sponsorship
information. All sponsorship donations should be made in reference to SMRFA (Southern
Maryland Rugby Football Association), our non-profit organization.
SMRFA Sponsorships provide :
- Rugby balls for practice, games, and MVP awards
- Water bottles and carriers
- Rucking pads to be used during practice
- Team bags for players and equipment
- Kicking tees for practice and games
- Marking cones for practice drills and for games
- New uniforms for the team members
- Tackle bags for practice
- Club dues for men who would like to play but cannot afford to
